Belonging: Finding Our Place in God’s Living World

This autumn, join us for a different kind of Season of Creation. Inspired by the saints and grounded in the life of our community garden, we will gather around the ordinary gifts of soil, animals, seeds, fruit, harvest and water. Like icons, these gifts become windows into God’s presence—inviting us to slow down, look again and rediscover the sacred woven through everyday life.

Through Scripture, music, prayer and reflection, we will explore what it means to belong: to God, to one another and to the beautiful, living world we share.

  • September 13: Belonging to Creation

  • September 20: We Belong to the Land

  • September 27: All Things Hold Together — Taizé

  • October 4: A Covenant with Every Living Creature — Worldwide Communion and St. Francis an animal blessing.

  • October 11: A Basket of Gratitude — Thanksgiving and the Fairfield Gardens

  • October 18: Everything Will Live Where the River Goes — Water and World Food Sunday

Come with curious hearts and open hands. Together, we will give thanks for the soil beneath us, the water that sustains us and the many creatures who share our common home. In song, silence, story and prayer, may we discover that creation is not somewhere outside us—it is the sacred community of life in which we are held.
